As I appear to have more free time for drawing atm I thought I would see if anyone out there would be interested in private commissions at all, as to be honest I need extra money and I think this would be a fun thing to do.

So here's a rough guideline to some sample prices for artwork, I am open to discussion about prices should a fair amount of art be commissioned by one person at one time. These prices do not include postage, that will be worked out on an individual basis.

An A4 black and white single image like a lot of the ones shown
here will cost £20, thats about $40 at current exchange rates. I do prefer to work in pounds and check the current exchange rates for the equivalent amount in dollars.

An A4 black and white image with background or additional figures included would be from £25 upwards ($50) depending on detail required overall.

A3 image prices would begin at £25 ($50) for a single figure with similar increase pricewise for background etc.

An A4 colour image, no background or a simple background wash would begin at £30 ($60), going up from there to full blown paintings at A3 size which would usually price around £80 ($160). Painting prices are mutable depending upon content etc.

I am going to stick to the same approach as I do with my rpg illustration. Upon receipt of a description I will develop a pencil rough. I will do up to 2 redrawings of said rough. After the initial rough is produced and approved I would expect half the money to be paid up front, then the rest paid upon final completion of the ink/ painting.
